thanks for coming back to me.
i've made some progress, but am stuck with not being able to start the server.
it was starting but giving me 'watchdog expired' when i tried to start the alias.
now having got the crontab working, the server won't start.
i'm getting this error when trying to run monoecid:
monoeci Core server starting
monacouser@xmcc2:~$ Error: Invalid masternodeprivkey. Please see documenation.
i've tried all 3 mn private keys generated so far - same error.
the commands you suggested don't work becayse the server won't start.
but when i run listaddressgroupings in my wallet i can see the 1000 coins sitting in the original address i sent them to.
when i run dumprivkey for that address in my wallet, and use that priv key in masternode.conf and monoeci.conf - same error as above.
how to get around this?
unless there is a simple way to fix this private key problem, what i really want to do is unlock the coins from this botched mn setup and start again!
but how do i actually unlock the 1000 coins / send them back to a 'normal/non-masternode linked address' so i can start again? at the moment i can't access them.
i can't find any info or instruction in this regard - please advise or point me in right direction.
apologies for possibly poor terminology and/or annoying noobishness. feel free to set me straight
using the official monoeci tutorial i managed to get the server started, but it will not recognize the transaction / private key link.
my wallet's masternode.conf and the server's masternode.conf do not appear to be synchronized.
changes to one do not reflect in the other.
is that right?
in my wallet, my masternode status is always 'watchdog expired'.
in my wallet - 'masternode outputs' returns a tx-id and index.
i add them to the masternode.conf file, save, reopen.
on the server, 'masternode outputs' returns:
monacouser@xmcc2:~$ ./monoeci-cli masternode outputs
monacouser@xmcc2:~$ ./monoeci-cli masternode start-alias MN01
"errorMessage": "Could not find alias in config. Verify with list-conf."
5 days later, round and round and round.
am i correct that if i stop the server and delete the line in masternode.conf then i will be able to access my coins move them to a different address/wallet?
is there any cache that could be causing issues?
any advice much appreciated. this sucks, i seem to be far from the only one who's experienced these issues, amd support for noobs seems to be disdainful at best
