Exodus is an excellent desktop wallet. Still, if you are planning on investing more than a small amount, you should spend the money and buy yourself a hardware wallet. I've had a great experience with the Ledger Nano S, and every time I read about another desktop wallet being hacked, it justifies my purchase. Ledger is adding new coins regularly as well. I've read good reviews about the Trezor too. The only hardware wallet I've read negative reviews about is the Ledger Blue, which is apparently overpriced and underfeatured (is that even a word?). If you're serious about crypto investing, a hardware wallet is a smart investment IMO.
